Akuco The land is a renown place of Africa. One that many people think to be what all the country is. Grassland, savannah. The place is covered in golden long grass and dotted with trees now and again. Large prey, elephants, antelope, wildebeest, are found here. The Akuco is prime hunting ground, but not only for the lions. There are many other predators who have staked claims on this vast estate. The weather of the Akuco changes quite swiftly, and once caught in tempest one find’s there isn’t much cover to choose from. |

Okari There are many trees that mark the great land in which we walk but... few can compete with this... one. This tree, The Okari Tree, is one renown, the place, the core of many legends. It is said that here is where the great Lovers purposed. Where the Hangman was hung and where the Twins killed each other over greed. It's roots above the ground are large and long, knotted with age the old wood is massive, it's limbs reaching outwards in such a way it is a superb climbing tree. |

Iarox The upper part of the river is much faster then the lower. It is a very broad and very long stream. It's banks are easily accessible and the water around them much calmer and shallower then the torrent near the center. Any creature who gets stuck in the center of the waters is sure to be drowned. The Iarox leaves a rather large shore during the dry season that swells during the wet. The area around the river is prosperous from the sediment deposits the Iarox brings. The waters are too swift and clear for crocodiles, unlike it's lower half, the Majito. |

Eisakuco - 1 Viewing The vast majority of the land of the North is savannah and grasslands, truth be known, with a river winding through. The land is seemingly infinite with little shelter for one to take. But, alas, one will soon find if they travel far enough the Eisakuco. It is a bit of anomaly, being so large and so extensive. It is a mass of thorns and thickets, prickly and hard to navigate; perfect place young ones can hide in if they are small enough. Because of such mother's tend to look to Eisakuco as the Birthing Lands. Not that the thicket is entirely safe, children can be picked off by the many birds that loom overhead. |

Paiwu The land rises abruptly and steeply from the ground… The highland the best of places to go when surrounding area floods. From the flat top of the plateau one can see, in the distance the fuzzy outline of the mountain ranges, and in the opposite direction the sliver of deep blue see. The climb to the top is one well fought for prey, but those who did manage to get up the steep sides often stay. The massive plateau is amazingly windy, however, considering it is treeless. |

Eihan The desert of the east is renown as the most harsh of all the areas, even if technically it is three individual deserts all added together… It experiences frequent sandstorms and fierce temperatures. Dunes are ever changing, thus making Eihan deathly hard to navigate and the fact that there isn't much water speaks clearly one must know where they are going to make it out alive. Snakes, scorpions and lizards are all that await one who ventures into the desert… Not that it doesn't keep any from trekking into them. Then again with stories of treasure surrounding the sands and a jeweled palace beneath the sands… |

Suali Precious as gold to the poor this place is often full of others. After all, seeing as it is the only major water source in the desert that many manage to locate… The water is ever clear, but ever shallow. The lush plants that grow around it an obvious sign among the gold and tan of the desert. Though it is not voiced it is… pretty much ‘known’ that whoever controls the oasis pretty much controls the desert as a whole. Many seductress' loiter about the place… for the oasis, despite it's location in the desert, is seen as lustrous and a heavenly paradise. |

Korongo A natural maze it is seen as a key defensive lot of land. One enters here West by the desert and East by the Eiroka. The rock is old and well-layered, orange and golden it varies in depth and height. Pathways can be as broad as the Iarox, or as narrow as a mouse crevice. There are many paths and few lead to anywhere special. Few other then the Desert Dwellers know the correct way to navigate the canyon, fewer yet know that getting lost here is just as dangerous as getting lost in the Eihan. There are many mice that run about but few large prey. But, alas, the large prey that does enter… well let us simply say they are close to death and are quite the easy catch for two talented huntress’. |

Eiroka Similar to the savannah, just think a belittled version. The area is a tidy expanse, decent by many means. Home to many a variety of creatures, though it is not as luscious as the grasslands or other more hospitable terrains. Thickets and brush litter the land, as well as small trees and briars. Rabbits and rodents are found here, as well as elephants and warthogs. Water is not scarce but it's hardly abundant. Here one feels the difference between wet and dry season well. |

Orai The land is barren without much cover. The earth is hard and dark and though it is not completely dry it is… pretty close to it. One can spot mesas on the distance, and the edge of the Eiroka, that scrub-like area that the Orai lead to. The lands are far from beautiful and hardly any come to them… unless they are wishing for a land of silence and solitude. Where one can think and surround oneself in an area that lays claim to the words ‘repulsive’ and ‘dangerous’. Many bad things happen here, many bad things indeed… then again with legends of demonic creatures inhabiting the estate… |

Beseni The green, vibrant basin of the south is where almost all rain water in the four great lands ends up before washing many miles away to the ocean. Because of the nutrients it picks up from across the land, plenty of food is provided for the large prey that wander here. In fact, this is one of the favorite haunts of the African Elephants and several species of antelopes reside here, the most common being the Waterbuck. The countless streams that flow through here are constantly changing their course, causing there to never be one common trail in the area. Only those who have lived long in the area know how to travel through without becoming lost. This need to have knowledge of the terrain makes it difficult for strangers to surprise lions who live there. |

Kinamasi - 1 Viewing One does not usually think of a marsh when they picture Africa, but that is exactly what Kinamasi is. Tall marshweeds grow here, providing ample coverage from the African Buffalo that lures so many lions to the area. The mud and insects can be annoying if one is not used to it, but the water is a nice place to cool off in the hot days. Few other predators live here, and indeed many lions avoid it as well. But for the marsh cats that go against their nature, it is a prime place to live. |

Furiko One of the lowest points in the whole region, this floodplain is located next to the Majito. Because of its reliance on the river, anything that affects it indirectly affects the Furiko, making it one of the most dynamic lands. When the river overflows during the rainy season, the grassy land becomes almost like a marsh. However, the water does not stay there long, instead soaking into the ground and leaving behind mud and holes of water. But during the dry season, when there is little water left in the river, the land becomes parched and hard. Despite that, it retains the nourishing grass farther into the dry season than other areas. |

Majito The lower part of the Iarox, this section flows slow and smoothly past a high bank that craetures most climb to get to the other end. The water is deep and made cloudy from the herds that often cross it during their migrations. In fact, most beings would much rather choose to cross this area than the upper section--but one must not forget about the crocodiles and hippos that lounge in the water. It is in this one area that the lions are not at the top of the food chain, and even powerful ones must be careful. In the dry season, the river becomes sluggish before drying up almost completely, leaving behind deep holes of mud. |

Misitu Misitu is a large jungle in the southern lands. Towering trees grow densly throughout the region, as one would expect from a jungle. The air is humid and stuffy, and the tawny hide of a lion is difficult to hide behind the vibrant foliage. Heavily shaded and green all year, it is nevertheless an area where few large animals live. Because of the lack of their type of prey, it is harder for big prides to survive. The land is instead frequented by many types of birds and reptiles, as well as a leopard here and there. However, there are a few small antelopes that wander through Misitu, allowing a nice change of prey. And in the deepest regions, the animal known as the Okapi creates a reclusive existence. |

Kipia The highest point, it covers the beginnings of a mountain range to the very summit with every range of temperature falling in between. In the same way, weather is wildly varying and unpredictable, and the wise ones keep a close eye on the horizon. The terrain is rough and dangerous to those who don’t know their way, but the exotic landscape draws many to see its wonders. Steep cliffs and deep gorges dot the area—beautiful, yet dangerous features. A creature does not even have to travel to the top to view all the surrounding lands. Prey size ranges from antelopes on the lower areas to small rodents at the upper part. Leopards often hunt throughout Kipia, and though they would seldom attack a full grown lion, they are a great danger to cubs. |

Shimo Deep and mysterious, the secrets of the caverns of Shimo are known to few. Long ago, even before the first lions arrived, these caves were carved out by underground rivers. There is not much left of those rivers now, and even the little that still flows is avoided by many creatures, considering the whispers of it causing death to those who drink it. The place is haunted by dripping echoes and other strange noises the mind creates, and the overall effect is one of rememberence. Few venture into Shimo's deepest, most ancient of caverns--but the rooms closer to the surface are excellent places for one to sleep. |

Kipukusa - 1 Viewing The last remains of the humans lie here. Crumbled houses and other relics are scattered across the landscape, and within these buildings is the best protection from the elements to be found in all the pride lands. Despite the great cover, many animals avoid this place out of fear of the memory of the humans. Their mere presence from so many years ago is still felt, for blood was shed here for the sole purpose of revenge. The area is almost without any trees or bushes, thanks to the clearing that took place when the humans settled, yet they have slowly begun to grow again, and with them have come prey that could sustain a small pride of lions. Those that live here are given branded many things, ranging from brave to untrustworthy, but only they know the truth of these lands. |

Johari This clear waterfall is fed by rain that flows down Kipia during the rainy season, and as such is greatly affected by the weather there. When the mountains are dry, Johari is reduced to a trickling stream. But when there is sufficient rain, it becomes a beautiful cascading waterfall. Although perhaps not the biggest area, it by far one of the most scenic in all the lands. The small pool at the bottom is clear and often visited by many creatures. Framing the shore are large rocks all cats use to sunbathe. In all, it is quite a relaxing place. |

Poriuma - 1 Viewing Not the forest, and yet not the plains, Poriuma is where two worlds collide--that of the great trees and that of the billowing grass. Whether this sudden change in landscape was the doing of the humans or of something more natural, no one knows. Its proximity to Kipukusa, however, leads many to believe that the humans didn't spare this area in the clearing of the land either. But years have passed since those times, and now plenty of shrubs cover the area, as well as growing trees and other vegetation. African Wild Dogs gather in this woody place--less dangerous than hyenas, perhaps, but in large groups still a force to be reckoned with. |
