God, I hate adopting out my characters! No one role-plays them quite like I do. It is so sad, but I must do it. I am going to give up Ekwueme. It is very difficult to get rid of him, even thought I have only played him a few times. Because Amara is due to have cubs after this thread, and because I plan to play both cubs for now, I must give up Ekwueme.

Please make sure you are active before you even consider adopting Ekwue. I don't mean that you have to get on every day, but I don't want to let him go just so he can sit unused forever again. I haven't been playing him enough anyway, so just please take care of him. It's like giving up a baby!

NAME: Ekwueme

PERSONALITY: Ekwueme indeed lives up to his name. When he says he will do something, he no doubt will. He is polite, though he has an air of authority except around those higher in rank than he. He is a very instinct driven lion, and has been known to follow impulses wherever they may lead him. He is caring despite his rough outer appearance and is extremely protective. He will fight for those around him more often than for himself. He usually keeps other bachelors in their place, for so many seem to wander out of line occasionally. Ekwueme can be social with lionesses, though usually he keeps to himself. He is, overall, pretty unpredictable, as he can be set on one thing, complete that mission, and turn the opposite direction immediately after. Sometimes he is mild mannered, and others is is irritable and defensive. At these times, he is best to be avoided at all costs, though he is never irritable around lionesses without good cause. He is very caring, and willing to do just about anything. He will walk away if he gets irritated, unless someone pushes him, just to keep calm. He can be somewhat hard-headed and stubborn when he wants to be, especially if someone tries to stop him from doing what he wants. It's better to use reverse psychology on him than to get in his way.
PROS: He is loyal and protective, and polite. He would, without a doubt, make a great leader at some point.
CONS: Ekwueme has some major mood swings, especially around other males, and he can start fights occasionally. Sometimes the fact that he can change his mind so quickly can be a burden.
LIKES: Ekwueme enjoys wandering the savanna. He likes to lay about during the day when it is hot and sun himself or just lay about for no reason. He likes to protect, though he doesn't often get the chance. Ekwueme thinks he is a good leader and would like to be a ruler someday.
DISLIKES: Ekwueme doesn't like to be opposed, and will fight to prove a point. He dislikes being around too many bachelors, though he never shows it to them. He hates to be disrespected by those below him or of equal status.

APPEARANCE: Ekwueme is strong, as he has to be, and his mane is thick. His head is squared in the muzzle, and his eyes are a beautiful bright amber. His mane starts out a dark gold and as it nears his shoulders and chest it darkens to become black. The mane is thick and rough, showing his health. His front legs are thick and strong, with giant paws and long black claws. His forelegs are his main weapons in a fight, even before he uses his teeth, and his claws are sharp for that purpose. His body is average, if not a little thinner than other males due to being a bachelor. His hind legs are well muscled and strong. He can hunt very well, though, of course, the weight of his body and mane slows him down most of the time. His tail, of course, is long and thick, with the black tuft of fur at the tip, great for helping him balance in a fight.
EYE COLOR: His eyes are a warm amber.
COAT COLOR: He is a medium tan, though his head is a medium gold instead.
DISTINGUISHING ASPECTS: He has a small scar on his right shoulder where he was in a fight with another bachelor.
PHYSIQUE: Ekwueme is basically average in weight, and he is well muscled. He is, of course, large.

BRIEF HISTORY: Ekwueme was born in a large pride, along with his brother Kuri and his two sisters. He was raised well, although his mother was killed during a hunt when he was about a year old, and it was close to time for him and Kuri to leave the pride. So they did, and they stayed together for quite a while, eventually starting a pride. But Kuri left the pride of his own accord, and left Ekwueme as leader. Kuri sired only one cub, called Gwandoya later. But two brothers eventually found their way to the pride. A large fight took place, but Ekwueme knew he wouldn't be able to defeat the two males. So he backed down and the pride was taken over. But, as Ekwueme later heard, the two brothers were in constant quarrels and the pride fell apart. But Ekwueme kept his status as a loner, learning only of his niece from lions that had seen her hunting at a young age for her mother. But he did nothing, and now is still a bachelor.
