Name: Chi Satsujin Gender: Male Age: 6
Color/Markings: Chi Satsujin is one of the lighter male lions in Africa, and also one of the largest. Chi weighs about 475 heafty pounds, muscle costing more than fat. His build is strong, shoulders broad and powerful, while his body structure tapers as one goes back, ending in strong hindquarters. As a rogue, his ribs can occosionally be seen poking from beneath his thick light haired skin. But this thinness is not a weak point, not in the least. Instead it gives him a small advantage when fighting, making him more agile than the bulky, fattened up males. His skull is large, with two, smaller than normal ears perched top, and short, round muzzle extending forth. As any predator, his teeth are remarkably sharp and best for ripping meat from the bone, as is his tonue, covered in little hooks, best for wiping skin from his prey, or grooming his own messy fur. Scars swim across his carcass, tatooing the flesh in several places, starting on his upper back and traveling loosly down, with a dark scar ripping down his hindquarters and curling onto the upper part of his right back leg. Obviously a once nasty wound, and the reason he had fled his former pride, overtaken by his half-brother.
His coloration is lighter than most other male lions, taking on the light blonde coloring of a half white female. When soaking wet, like after a good rain during the wet season, it darkens to the usual rich gold seen among his kind. And under artificial light, like that provided by the humans, it can appear like dark sunlight rippling across his bodiance. But in the pure light of day, his pelt is blonde, bodiance a light tan, the coloration of quick sand. Chi's mane is a vass aray of colors, with streaks of cream, light tan, molten gold, and even a couple black hairs mixed in. His face is darker than his bodiance, usually a dark tan, possibly a light brown. A dark triangle of black hairs points down on his forehead, while contrast to that, he appears to have a white gotee dropping from his chin to mix into his thick, coarse mane. Beneath his eyes is the same mix of black hairs that colors his forehead, although after creating their dark circles they give way to light tan hue of his bodiance. Nose is light pink, and the surrounding area is the light tan. Eyes are rich golden color, maybe even a little red, when the light hits them so. A magnificent speciman, is he not?
Personality: Chi Satsujin was born violent, with a nasty temper and rarely a kind word. More often than not, he'd kill a lioness found with a male before asking questions, and learning it was her son. He was a good fighter, after picking all the fights he did, and earned his own pride early, killing his aging father instead of banishing him. When angered or set upon something, Chi can be an exceptional enemy, although it now takes much to wrile him up. Once a grand and powerful leader, he has been reduced to little but a scrap of his former self. At times he slips into violent rages, while others he holds a sad nobility, remorse, regret, and guilt tainting his every action. When sane he tends to warn other pride leaders of the horror he encountered, of his children being murdered, and a few of his lioness being slaughtered. He spreads the word of how quickly it can all be swept away, in the blink of an eye and that while they hold their family in their paws that they should care for them, love them, and above all not to take advantage of what they so gracefully have.
Delving into his history, we see that the first king that he warned, a ruthless bastard similar to the former Chi, had the same happen to him, and Chi heard the cubs and lioness screams as they were killed, just like his own. He also happened upon the brute decomposing corpse, killed not by the violent challenger and Chi's half-brother, but rather suicide, unable to cope with the smae that chi did. Now, due to this so much else, he tends to carry the world on his tired shoulders, taking on the grief of others, mourning for the pain that no other can. You might say that his pride was sacraficed and now he carries the sadness of the world ... or you could say he is a stupid old fool who lives too much in the past. Either way, sadness taints him in very thing he does, violence being the alternative.
