Note: The picture is not Kimon.
The Beginning Of The Past
Kimon was....very afraid as a child, to say the least. His father was constantly being challenged to battle as he lay in the sun, basking from its warm glow. His father was a tough lion....But would Kimon live up to the title of pride leader? Even himself didnt believe he could do it. He could never become half as a good leader as his father is. Kimon shrugged the cold thoughts away from him, and rolled a round a bit in the dirt. He loved playing around....And usually was doing it! Finding a scorpion, he raced after it. The little lion almost got the bugger when his mom came home. She was carrying an antelope, fresh from the plains. 'Mom! You're back!' Kimon said when he rushed up to get dinner, forgetting all of his troubles.
Living In The Glory
About a year or two later, Kimon was growing well and strong. His dad decided to teach him a a few things about hunting. Even though he already knew the most basic skills, he needed to be taught more. It was a long day....
Exhausted and accomplished are the best two things to be at the same time. Kimon raced his father home (His dad won, of course) and then fell to the floor, laughing. 'We really did some work today, didnt we?' the tired lion asked his dad. 'Yeah....yeah, we did.' Kimon smiled and fell alseep....Tired....But accomplished. As the last thoughts passed through his head, he fell into the heaven that is right between conciousness and sleep. The point where all thoughts are lost, and only your primal mind is left. His eyelids droozed down as he fell alseep, remembering a hard days work.
The Sunny Days
Another 2 years later, Kimon was still the happy cub he once was. Bouncing around, having fun. He was a pretty average lion....And his dad was more than proud of him. Kimon was showing all the signs of being dominate male in his pride. But that would be a long time from now....
Kimon's mother returned from her hunt, bringing the dinner home. 'What did you get today?' the curious one asked. 'Just another antelope....Fresh from the plains.' his mom smiled back. 'Ooh! I love antelope . I guess I'll let this little scorpion go....' he stated. Meanwhile, the scorpion hestitated not a second to run away from the lion....Running off into the bushes, Kimon smiled....Feeling accomplished.
