Kye had been walking around. She walked around looking for some food. She found a zbra, but it had nothing left to it. She licked the bones. She only got a bite or two of some meat. When Kye was done, she walked over to the little water that was over there. She slipt but caught her balance and stepped away from the water. Kye sat under a tree looking for a lioness or a lion. No one. She was malnurated so her seeing wasnt built up yet. She could see but it was still a little blury. She got up and walked around a little more. She ran around tiring herself out. But instead she triped on a hole and thought she hurt her paw. But it was fine. She trotted back over to a tree. She layed down and waited for anyone to come near so she could ask them a question.
Kye just needed to know where she was. She was as lost as ever. She thought she knew where she was. But as soon as she looked around, she knew she was far away from her parents pride. She was supposed to stay with her mothers best friend. But her mothers best friend left her and she never came back. So Kye got up and left.

A young lioness padded through the land quickly. Her mind was still on the confrontation she had witnessed. The fae was so deep within her thoughts that she nearly collided with a small malnourished cub. She was snapped from her thoughts, surprise lightly etched across her face. Sarai stepped back quickly, her eyes wandering around for the cub's mother. She shrugged and glanced back at the small bundle. She quickly saw that the cub was female and about four months. Hello, Little One. I am Sarai. Who are you? The lioness smiled gently, concern for the cub pounding in her chest.

Kye looked around and she then quickly looked at a lioness. Her name was Sarai. She was startled. I...Im Sun of Milikye...or Kye...you..you can choose. She was a little jumpy and cautious. She didnt know Sarai. She didnt know if she would harm her or not. She started to shake. That wasnt anything unnormal. She shook almost twenty-four seven. The poor cub was so skinny and abbused. You couls actually see her ribs throught her think fur. Her ornage fur was dirty because of all of the mud she had to go through a while back. She looked at Sarai. She was very pretty. She was also very....very...nice looking. Hopefully she wouldnt harm her.

Sarai rushed to the cub's side as she began to shake. It's alright, Little One, I won't hurt you. Sarai quickly began cleaning Kye, pressing her body against the young cub. The lioness glanced arond for a moment and jumped to her paws as she spotted a baby zebra. She turned to Kye and purred. Wait here. I'm getting us some food. Sarai padded away softly, placing each step with careful precision. Sarai stopped as she came as close as she could to the young zebra, her heart thudding in her chest. Suddenly, the young lioness charged after the zebra calf, gaining speed as she went. Within seconds, Sarai had brought down the kill and dragged it over to the cub. She came to Kye's side and nudged her towards it. Eat while we still can. |

Kye sat there as she cleaned her. She sat there while she went to go get that zebra. When Sarai came back with the babyzebra, Kye got up and ate the zebra. She ate as much as she could. She hasnt eating a good meal like this sence her mothers friend left her. She lost her balance and fell face first into the zebra. Her face was now dirty and her front paws were too. She stood up and laughed a little. Oops... She started licking her mouth. She then tried cleaning herself but evertime she would use her paw, it would just get more dirty because they were dirty too.

Sarai smiled and asisted the cub in her cleaning. Sarai was used to taking care of cubs and this was no different. After Kye was clean, Sarai took her turn eating the zebra. She gorged herself on the meat for her belly had been crying out for a meal for days. The lioness smiled at Sun as she finished her eating. Why are you out here little one? Sarai moved to the cubs's side, the joy in having somone to talk to comforting her.

Kye laughed when she was cleaning her. She looked at Sarai when she asked the question... Well...when i was 2 months old, my mother and father were killed. My mother told her best friend that if anything happened to them, she was supposed to watche me... a tear ran down her cheek. She was still young and had such a little voice. ... but that friend didnt like me. She told me to stay in the den until she came back. I waited there for three days. She never came back for me. She put her down and then back up to look at her. So.... i had to start my life over again. So i started out find things that others left behind. Aftr...that, i came here... and then you found me... She laughed a litte at the end but she still had tears coming down. She licked her paw and then sneezed.

Sarai nudged the cub close to her as her story poured out in her tiny voice. Sarai was shocked that a lioness would abandon a cub, much less their best friend's child. Sarai nuzzled Kye on her tear stained cheek. Don't worry, Little One. You have me now. I can be your mama. Sarai smiled at the small bundle next top her. The lioness glanced around and froze as she saw vultures. She stood quickly and nudged small Kye to get up. We need to go. Those vultures are going to bring unwanted company. The lioness stayed by the cub as she waited for her to get up. |

Kyes ears perked up when she said that she would be her mother. She didnt say anything. She got up and started moving. Sarai was right by herside. She was following Sarai on where to go. She had no clue where. She just kind of trotted along. She turned around to see if she could see any more vultures. She didnt. She still trotted a little more ways so that they couldnt get her from way over there. Sarai and Kye were farther away from the tree they were just at. She started to walk. Her little tail kept getting caught under her feet. She tried keeping in the air. She rubbed up against Sarai in thanks. She started to pur as she did. Thank... you. Kye said looking at her with her eyes twinkling from the sun.

Sarai smiled at the young cub, keeping herself at a pace young Kye could stay at. "You are welcome, Little One." Sarai glanced at the young she-cub, her gaze full of love and kindness. She was in a way, this cub's mother and she would protect Kye to the ends of the earth. The lioness padded towards a small over hang, her sleek dark fur ruffled quietly by the wind. She quickly settled her small frame for she, Sarai, was tired. The fae flicked her tail to Kye to come beside her, ears perked for any approaching paws.

Kye trotted next to Sarai. She layed down and yawned. She has had a rough day. She shook her head. her eyes were getting droopy. But she kept them open. Her head slowly dropped and she yanked it back up. She yawned one more time. So...mommy...how...was your... He head dropped and her eyes closed. She put it back up. Day.. she needed to make sure that she finished her snetence. She sat there keeping her head up to show Sarai that she was still up and runnning.

Sarai smiled at her daughter. My day was wonderful, Kye. I found you and I am not lonely any more. The lioness nuzzled her daughter gently, her eyes shimmering with love. Sarai had always been alone and it felt strange to be needed. The young cat gently pushed Kye against her darker pelt, purring softly as she also closed her eyes to rest. I love you, Kye, and I won't let anything happen to you. The lioness whispered to her cub as she was claimed by sleep. |

Kye yawned as she listened to her new mother. I love you to...mother She opened one eye. Kye fell asleep with a really big smile on her face. She got closer to her making sure she stayed close. In her dreams, she had a dream that someone found her.She had been happy and everything was great.She woke up and realised that her dream was her actual life. She started to laugh. She covered her mouth hoping she wasnt laughing to loud that she woke up her mother. She stood up and stretched and yawned. She sat back down near her mother and started cleaning herself a little bit. But as usual, it didnt work as planned. She stopped and layed back down near her mother. She cuddled her head right by her shoulder and stayed there.
