Rachina tried the come-around, but ended up on the GROUND! Her claws did not embed the skin, but left pinprick holes in the earth. She growled as he stepped aside, and she whirled around to face him. Yet, she knew quite well that he wanted her pinned. He thought she was all bark. But her bite hurt more than his, she bet. Probably quite close to eachother though. She let the words replay in her head. He was so rude, thinking himself all high and mighty. She was pathetic? I think not!
I would invite you to play with me, boy, but I'm afraid I'm too pathetic to do anything. she sighed at the end, before lowering her crouch in to a laying-position. She really wasn't afraid of him, even if it cost her her unmarked pelt. Sad boy. REally didn't know what he was in for from her and Rhian. They'd treat him like a buffalo. Yes, hunting was what they were good at. By the way, you're a very good actor!
Rachina watched him eye the other femme, allowing a smile as to what he was thinking creep on to her oh so delicate face. He thought himself king! Ha! She let a venomous chuckle out of her throat. How, How could the poor rogue be a king? She didn't even think of herself as a queen of any sort. She was reminded slightly of Nonik, the male that she had killed so long ago. He hadn't harmed her in the least.

For once in her short life, she had made a somewhat good decision. By hanging back, she saw the arrogant male dodge the other lioness' strike, rolling away with perfect ease. To the woman's credit though, she did react sharply and refrained from attacking in a way that would give him the advantage. Rhian's own growled had lightened as she observed the quick fight, which had seemed to dissolve into a sarcastic conversation. And yet, for all her...companion's talk, she could not help but think the male would win this battle. Who knew what experience the female possessed, but a rogue male was just that--a rogue. A fighter, a mercenary capable of taking care of himself without the help of a pride. And Rhian knew her own experience was quite limited--never before had she fought a battle, much less one against a male. In short, this was bad. The chances of coming out of this little scrap unhurt were slim, and with the few moments it took for the other two to banter back and forth, her blood had cooled enough to see some sort of reason. Oh, do not think she no longer hated him or 'realized the error of her ways.' It simply stood that she weighed the options and found it more prudent to refrain from attacking when she would most certainly lose. Were she stronger, more experienced....she would, perhaps, have continued. But...she wasn't, and, in perhaps a saving grace, her self-esteem wouldn't let her think she had a chance. And don't forget, you promised yourself you wouldn't worry Father anymore. Yes, that was true--though her recent scar may not help that goal much.
Halting her move toward the male, Rhian instead circled around to join the other lioness, keeping a wary eye on him in the process. Rage still thundered in her ears, making her orange eyes burn as she stood beside the one laying on the ground. She didn't want to be there anymore--didn't want to face the crude remarks that were thrown at her and simply didn't want to be around the two that tried her short patience. Though...perhaps the other (Rachina, she believed her name was) was not quite as bad as Rhian first thought. Maybe under better circumstances, when she was not in one of her horribly depressing moods, they could have gotten along...somewhat? But maybe not. Nevertheless, she at least deserved a name and a thanks for her help. She spoke guardedly to the reclining lioness. You can stay here and talk to him all you want, but I've had enough. A quick glance in her direction and her voice quieted. I am Rhian of the Alethea, by the way. I doubt we could ever be friends--and here a wry tone entered her voice for a moment, before fading--but thanks. The words were sincere, though short in their delivery. Hopefully, she would know what she was being thanked for, but if not...then that was the way it was. But it still stood that Rachina had helped her, and Rhian would not forget that one small kindness. Catching the lioness' gaze, she gave a short nod in farewell before turning and walking away, not even considering giving the male a passing glance. She doubted the conceited man would be bothered by it, but at this point she simply wanted to get away from him. Ignoring the light rain as it soaked her fur, but wincing as it pelted her injured face, Rhian turned toward her home and began the long journey back. What a complete waste of her time this little adventure had been.
ooc: Rhian has left this thread. I doubt she could take much more, poor dear. Of course, feel free to try to drag her back in if you want. ^^
