Rue is an alternate world to ours, in what we would call the past, the Eocene. The dinosaurs of the world are long dead by a few million years, but man has yet to rise. Instead, the ancestors of cats and dogs-- a single species! -- fight with giant hoofed carnivorous relatives of dolphins and terror birds for the top spot. But, much more importantly, is that the world may not go the same way twice. What if man never got the chance to rise, and the lords of the earth were the kingdom of Carnivora?
Don’t know how to play that? Think of it as (if you watch television at all) Balto crossed with Lion King crossed with Walking with Prehistoric Beasts. Or a mixed species canine/feline/weasel rp in which the species produce hybrids, like tiger-wolves!
It’s free roam, meaning you, yes you, can create as many packs, prides, trios, harems, mobs or tribes as you like with your friends and take any territories anywhere you wish-- and create ANY kind of group you can imagine. Not only that, but you can create any kind of character too, with a variety of skills and appearances, from tusks to poisonous barbs! And even new species-- mix and match characters together to produce unusual cubs with amazing abilities. Or start a plot if it strikes your fancy, and send famine and disease across the land, parasites, typhoons, earthquakes, drought or war. Forge the first religion upon the earth, and crush all the nonbelievers, or create science millennia early.
