A rather large, muscular male lion strutted into the lion-less savanha with his heavy skull head high with dominance, and confidence. His thick black and rough gold mane blew to the left side as a refreshing breeze past by, and he closed his amber optics and inhaled the fresh air with pride. When he opened his eyes again, he noticed a small herd of zebra passing by perhaps three miles away or so, but this did not interest him. All this meant to him was that there was a good supply of food here, and there were no other scents of other lions here too.
Besides, of course, Riikari, his younger sister. She was slinking behind him, her audits pressed back with slight annoyance. She wanted to hunt down one of the zebra, and eat her fill before more lions headed into the area, but the zebra's stripes always confused her and gave her headaches. She let her head hang low and sniff the ground, while Valcon was a half mile away or so, marking his heavy scent everywhere as a territorial remark. He was claiming it for himself, and Riikari if she chose to stay...

Ghinjo wandered aimlessly throughout the area surrounding the Savannah, her ears alert, although she didn't carry herself with the same regal manner that one often saw in the kings of the jungle. She glanced up at the sky, which was dark and low suggesting that it would rain if it already wasn't nearby. Her legs pushed through the high grass, mindful of her surroundings. It was said that if a white lion could learn to hunt, they were the best hunters...simply because they weren't given the advantage of blending in with their surroundings. Ghinjo fell right into this category. She continued further, until the strong scent of a male caused her to stop immediately. She had to be paticularly mindful of them considering it was breeding season...this caused all males to become instantly aware of a female's presance despite ignoring them for the rest of the year. Ghinjo sneered, her scars were a physical reminder of what happened when she tried to resist a male. That worked out oh so well. She stepped over the border, with no intention of trying to push the male out. If he wanted it, fine. There was a point in her history when she would have battled it out with the other male for dominance; now she was only keen, and cunning in her head and on the hunt...when she could show her true colors without fear of reprimand from the big bad boys.

What was this? A new scent had filled the borderline of Valcon's newly claimed territory, and the scent was obviously a female's. His heavy skull turned to the direction of the scent, and Valcon immediatly spotted the female, due to her lighter ivory coat. A sly grin had crossed the male's maw as he slunk down low to the ground, and exhaled heavily, causing some of the lighter dirt particles to blow in all directions away from his nostrils. The desire to mate and claim more females was essential to him at the moment, but he noticed the female's stance, and he could tell that she might possibly put up a fight. Valcon raised his head higher, shaking his black based mane out, before beggining to work his way towards the white lioness.
Riikari simply sneered at the sight The golden lioness did not appreciate new females roaming about, especially because her brother was always trying to hook up with them and have cubs. Riikari growled lowly, resting her rear on the ground and deciding to watch her brother this time. Maybe this would be interesting, and it would possibly amuse her...

Ghinjo heard and smelled Valcon long before he would emerge from the high grass, his paws crushed any dead grass and his large mass made way through the grasses. Instantly her mind entered into conflict, the feeble remains of youth told her to meet him half way and put up a fight. The beaten part of her told her that she might as well lie down now, perhaps take a nap...play dead. She uttered a low growl but it was muffled, she never opened her mouth to let it resonate. Ghinjo didn't move a muscle, waiting to see the leader of this pride. She knew there was a female nearby, but the scent hadn't moved since she had gotten here...and so at the moment there was no fear of ambush. Ha. Ambush, like they meant to kill her, she was too highly prized for her gender...death wasn't an option. Her ears laced back, half in fear and submission...and half in agression, a sign of the conflict that raged on inside her psyche.

Valcon stopped for a moment and shook his crania back and forth, getting a piece of grass out of his eyes, before continueing on his way. The rustling sound caused a few meerkats that were foraging in the grass to dart off back to their underground burrows. The sky was a dark gray hue, suggesting rain soon enough. A minute later, he finally reached the borders where the lioness' scent grew heavy. His salmon pink tongue lolled to the edge of his mouth and licked it lightly, as he locked his eyes with the female's. Valcon remained silent for a moment, watching the female carefully, before finally speaking. Welcome, lioness. He spoke in his ussual deep, gruff voice as he awaited to hear hers.

As the imposing figure of Valcon came into view, Ghinjo's eyes grew wide as he met her gaze. She searched his eyes for a few moments, hesitantly before breaking the lock out of respect. Despite her strength, his outweighed hers. Even if he wasn't that strong, he'd beat her out of sheer size. Her voice was higher than his, naturally, a smooth in contrast to his gruff tone. Thank you s--... Sir? Sire? Her voice trailed off, he didn't deserve her respect by any means, she simply dipped her head...something between a bow, a nod, and a flinch. She raised her gaze once more, and then lowered her haunches to the ground. Sure, it made it a bit harder to get away, it took off a split second advantage she could have. She'd made it clear she wouldn't raise a claw against him, if she had planned on it, she would have done so when it made sense, when she could have utilized some art of suprise.

Valcon gave Ghinjo a quick, subtle nod of acknowledgement before returning to his dominant stance. He didn't know why she had stopped talking so suddenly, but for whatever reason he could deal with that later. I'm sure thatyou haven't wandered here by mistake, now, have you? If it's a pride you're seeking, you have found one. The male said with a less threatening tone, noticing how she seemed almost skittish. The name's Valcon. He also added soon after, wondering if she would return the fact with her own name and reason for being here.

Of course Ghinjo was looking for a pride, and now at least she had a home. With a male who was considerate enough to exchange formalities. Ghinjo looked at him with her eyes that were as grey as the sky. Valcon. Well, it certainly matched his personality and the imposing figure that stood before her. I'm Ghinjo. She couldn't say the same about her name; it meant to slaughter, to cut, and she could barely look a male in the eye anymore. ...and yes, I was looking for a pride. Thank you for your hospitality. She had calmed down considerably; dominant she could deal with, it was souless that she had been living with...and when she saw that it was an inherent part of all males, she had stopped her twitchy nervosity.

(Sorry for the late reply *forgot the link to this site*)
Valcon seemed to tower over this white female slightly, and his thick blackened mane made him appear bigger then most other lions. His amber eyes were soft, but they held a secret mischevious glint in them. In order to claim her he'd either have to mate with her or fight her, although she did not appear to be willing to strike at him. Ghinjo... You are welcome to join my pride, but you do know what I would like in return, yes? Valcon was reffering to mating with her, and possibly making her lead as a result. Perhaps if she carried herself more with pride and confidence she would be fit to help him rule the pride...

:: Ghinjo knew exactly what he wanted in return, and was willing enough to give it to him. Her eyes lifted to look at him and she nodded twice. Yes. She was completely apt to lead, or at least she used to be. All Valcon needed to do was show her he'd never lay a paw against her; again dominant was okay, abusive was not. So long as you're okay with some of your heirs being white... Some people found it to be a hinderance, cubs were not gifted with spots like the auburn cubs. Sure, only some of the cubs would be white, the others would all carry the gene. But enough with genetics. And now she was rambling both in her head, and to Valcon. She took a step or two closer to Valcon, mindful of the other female scent that still lingered in the area. [ooc: haha, tis okay.]

Valcon took a moment to think about having white cubs. They would be easier to see when they grew up and hunted, but they were rare and in some prides more valuable. In his last pride some of them were considered sacred, like the ghosts of the gods. The lead male gave Ghinjo a stern nod before replying. It's alright with me. You and white cubs and other rare colored lions are welcome here. Maybe Valcon was making a foolish choice, it might be harder to hunt with a pride of white lions... Even so, he wanted his pride to be known for something, and he wanted to make the pride bigger, stronger. Tell me when you are ready, Ghinjo, and we could start a family.

:: Ghinjo appreciated it, she wouldn't allow any of her prodigy to be anything but the most excellent of hunters, just as she was. She used her rarity as a motivator to become better than most other females who were brown. She nodded and moved closer once more, pressing her head into Valcon's mane, tenitatively at first, but then found how nice the secure feeling felt and nuzzled him more firmly. She then pulled back and glanced down at their feet. I'm ready.

Valcon smirked lightly as the female approached and nuzzled his neck and mane. It felt... Different. He hadn't had a lion nuzzle him in a long time, and he enjoyed it. The lead male pressed his head back at Ghinjo's gently, and whispered in her ear, Come with me.. He turned his masculine muscle lined bodice around, and slinked his way towards the breeding grounds.
Riikari had watched the whole thing while lurking in the tall grass, her black tipped audits now pressing back against her skull. Great... A female... This will be fun... She thought sarcastically before making her way towards the watering hole for a drink...
(Both Valcon and Riikari have left temporarily)
