So your lioness is pregnant and you want to know what the cubs will be like? Well first off, you're going to have to fill out this form. Do not post it here--make a new thread in this board. I will then come along, wave the magic wand, and *poof* you'll have your cubs. ^_^ Make sure to look at the info on birthing and aging in the rules.
After you choose your litter, make a post in 'The Certified Living' board like you do when normally creating a lion. They may all be put in one post, but they must be accepted before being role-played.
Exception on Color: If you want to have a white cub (and have enough points), pick which cub you want to be white from the litter you choose and the color will be changed.

How It Works
The Combined Influence Of Parents Will Determine:
The combined influence at the time of mating will be used to find these numbers.
1. How many litters you get to choose from. For each litter, a number between 1 and 4 will be chosen randomly--this will determine the number of cubs in the litter. However, more influence means that players get more litters to choose from if one isn't to their liking.
0-99---Points means they only get one litter to choose from.
100-199---Points means they get two.
200-299---Three
300 & up---Four
2. Health of each cub. (Breeding during the dry season will increase the chances of having unhealthy cubs)
0-75---50% chance to be healthy
76-111---66%
112-197---75%
198 & up---80%
Unhealthy effects
A random number (one or two) will be chosen for each one that is unhealthy.
One Means nothing too severe. It can range from being weak at birth to having a bad eye, ear, or leg. In other words, defects it is possible for them to live through.
Two means the cub is stillborn.
Genetic Type Things
These are very crude. Size (large, small, or medium) and color (dark, light, or medium) will be chosen based on the parents. Of course, parents will still be able to choose if the cub is light gold or light tan, if you get my meaning. If you know what Punnett squares are, those will be used to determine everything.
There are some traits that are both dominant. If an animal has them both, there can be a case of incomplete dominance. Like, if the color red and white in a flower were both dominant and were expressed in the same flower, the flower would be pink. For the sake of simplicity and because I don't really know what is dominant and recessive in lions, a medium colored coat or a medium build are cases of incomplete dominance.
Size:
LL---Large
Ll---Medium
ll---Small
Color:
DD---Dark
Dd---Medium
dd---Light
Example
So let's say a large, dark colored male (LLDD) and a medium, light colored female (Lldd) mated. The possible combinations for cubs are: LLDd or LlDd, and there is a 50-50 chance for each. The cubs will either be large and medium colored or medium sized and medium colored.
The combined influence of these two lions is 150, so there will be two litters to pick from. Picking two random numbers, Litter 1 has one cub and Litter 2 has three. Because the influence is 150, each cub has a 75% chance to be healthy.
The cub from litter one still ended up being unhealthy, and since the number two was picked, is stillborn. This cub is medium sized and medium colored and is a female.
In the second litter, there are two girls and a boy. Girl #1 and the boy is LlDd, the other girl is LLDd. Girl #1 is unhealthy, but it is only something minor. The boy and girl #2 are healthy.
So here are the litters:
Litter 1
Cub: Female
Health Stillborn
Color: Medium color
Size: Medium
Litter 2
Cub #1: Female
Health: Minor health issues
Color: Medium
Size: Medium
Cub #2: Male
Health: Healthy
Color: Medium
Size: Medium
Cub #3: Female
Health: Healthy
Color: Medium
Size: Large
The player then has a choice between Litter #1 or Litter #2.
