The sleek huntress moved quietly among the tall grasses and shrubs. Her muscles slid fluidly beneath her pale golden pelt, nearly unseen among to shadows. She would look like a graceful, merciless warrior, until you got a look at her amber eyes. They were peaceful, if a bit reluctant, and their was no hate in their depths. She was a kind creature, unlike many these days, and she did not like to fight. Did not like to kill others. Adalee slowed, her amber orbs looking around with a calm expression. She did not know where she was, but there was the musk of lion in the air. It was breeding season, and she had left her wandering in the hopes of finding a pride, and perhaps a male.
The slim femme opened her jaws, sharp canines exposed, as she called for the pride. In friendship. She did not want to be mistaken as a threat. Closing her mouth once more, the huntress sat back on her haunches, watching, waiting, to see if this would be her new home.

It was good to be home again. It felt so nice to be the leader of his own Pride as well! The Ari would become one of the most powerful Prides if he had anything to say about it. Something interrupted his musing though. A figure that slunk into his line of sight and then out of it again. He followed it in mild interest and then his eyes narrowed. A lioness called out, a loud roar. But it was not a claiming roar. It was just to bring someone like him to her. Well, if she thought that he was a dog to be called--Then his indignation stopped and he slapped himself inwardly. " She just wants to join, or talk or something! Stop being to proud, you twit! " Hathor laughed a little at the voice in his head and then smiled graciously. He would be polite, he would be civil. Looking her up and down with light brown eyes, Hathor approached slowly and then sat down. It was close enough to talk, but not close enough to touch or claw. Just in case she was hostile.

Adalee had heard his approach, and turned her sleek head to watch him. She was slightly apprehensive, not knowing what to expect. But he sat in front of her, at a respectful distance, which eased her tension considerably. But her muscles were still a little tight, ready to run. She wouldn't fight. And not only because she didn't like it. She was small, young, and this brute was one she could not hope to fight. The difference in size was enough. But she wouldn't worry about that until she saw any hostility from him. For now she looked him over, amber eyes undoubtedly liking what she saw. Maybe it was just because she hadn't seen a male in a while. Maybe it was the fact she was in heat, making every male that much more attractive. Whatever.
His silence unnerved her for a minute, making her hesitant to speak. But, in fear of regular silence becoming awkward, she made herself talk. "You are the ruler around here, I presume?" Her voice was quiet and soft, but not weak, as many took her to be. She was just a tender soul, sweet and reserved. But enough of that. She watched the brute, the beginnings of a small smile on her face, awaiting his reaction.

Questuity walked around for a hile trying to dind someone to talk to. He had no one to talk to. He just wanted to meet someone. He saw a tree and sat by it. Questuity was a little nervous on how he was going to do this. Usually a parent would just bring them up. But he didnt have any parents. He had no family at all. He thought about ti for a really long time. Questuity actually talked out loud. Ok..soo if i just walk around maybe they will...no no no...wouldnt work He plopped down on the ground upset. He had no clue on what to do. Quest got up and started trotting through the back. Maybe it would help him think. He just minded his own buisness. Hopefully no one would take him as a predator and attacked him. He started to walk and calm down. Questuity sat back down and looked up at the sky. He wished someone was there to help him. Anyone would do. Quest continued to sit there and think. He looked around and saw some lion lionessess around. Maybe someone saw him and wouldnt find him offensive.

Muscles rippled as they carried the beautiful femme through her territory. The scent of her mate filled her nostrils as she walked on, her paws pounding in the dirt. She sniffed the air again, smelling something else. Female and...anoter male? Her pace quickened as her mate and the female came into eye sight. She walked slowly to Hathor's side, smiling kindly at the female in front of her Hello, I am Angel, Queen of the Ari Pride She said kindly.
Her sunset colored eyes locked on the male in the distance. You do know there's another male here..right Hathor She whispered in his ear, then she smiled at Adalee. My I ask for your name hun? She said kindly, slight motherly tone in her voice. Her eyes never looked away from the male as she waited for Hathor to speak. She couldn't help be worried about what the male wanted. Did he want a mate? a place in the pride? Or did he want Hathor's spot as king. Angel wasn't sure but it was her instinct to know when she was coming in heat, and she knew it was very soon.

He didn't bother dilly dallying. Hathor knew Angel would come in heat soon and he was not about to let her get riled like she did with Lothril. It was understandable that she would be protective but he would like to avoid that at all costs, now of all times when there was Angel's dignity to be lost.
Yes, I do know. But you mustn't worry, I'm not feeling very hungry now.
His tone was so low and so menacing, nobody would dare think of his words as a joke. They weren't a joke. He was a little bit of a vampire, Hath was. Not in a bad way. He simply liked his meat raw, very raw and very fresh. As all normal lions do.
Yes, I am Hathor. I rule the Ari Pride with Angel.
Now his tone was light and pleasant and a slight smile wavered on his lips. He didn't mind lionesses in the least, but he had always been a little curt with lions. Ever since he had heard tell of Sileree and what had happened to her while he had also been wandering he was determined to either have rogues join his pride or leave. It would be better to deal with him on your own terms than have him barge in during a meeting for whatever reason.
You there! We would be honored, good sir, to know your name as well!
He called politely and yet not exactly in a friendly way. He was not going to give the other the courtesy of respect just yet.

Quest jumped straight inot the air. Not know what to do, he walked slowly towards the lion and the lioness. Quest stayed back a couple of feets. He didnt want to seem like he was going to attack. He wasnt going to anyways. He put his head up staright. But that still made him look little. I..Im Questuity. He was nervous so he studard on accident. He nodded to the King and the Queen. He bowed his head once more. If the lion did anything to him, he would be in big trouble. Quest gulped and looked at them. He took a deep breath trying not to seem...like a baby. But yet, he still is. If you would like, you may call me Quest or you may call me Questuity. Its up to you. His mane blew in the little gust of wind that blew by. He stayed standing straight and looking smart and ready to do anythign they wanted him to. But on the inside, he was really really nervous. He was so nervous, that he could feel his paws start to get a little slippery. Thats usually what happened to him when he got scared.

Adalee acknowledged the Queen with a small bow of her head when she arrived. In turn, she also bobbed her head to Hathor. She knew how to be respectful to those, erm... higher up in the food chain, so to speak. Or maybe it was literal, seeing Hathor eye the new male coming upon them. She averted her eyes. It was Hathor's job to... rid himself of other males, or keep them. It was none of her business. But she didn't have to approve of it. After Quest announced his name, she turned her fine head to the royal couple once more. "I am Adalee, but a wanderer on these fair grounds. But not for long, I hope." She said it as if it were an afterthought, as if it wasn't the reason she was here. One of the reasons, anyway.
She thought she'd get straight to the point. "I hate to sound pushy or rude in this manner, but I am searching for a mate before I am out of heat. The breeding season is drawing to a close, and..." She trailed off, shrugging her slender shoulders. Had she not been in heat, she would have been appalled of herself. She rarely spoke so boldly. And she was ashamed that she cared not who her mate would be. Honestly, if Hathor would not have her, she might have to search elsewhere. But she would love to stay here with this pride. Perhaps there was other lions here that she had not yet seen. This, she couldn't know...

Well at the moment the only male that is in the pride is Hathor hun... She said with a smile, then looked at Quest. He didn't seem like he wanted to force her, so she slowly began to relax as she looked at him and smiled sweetly. Beautiful name Adalee She said with a smile, her ears twitching slightly a few times. She let out a loud yawn, her white fangs showing themselves as she closed her maw. She looked from Adalee to Quest and then to Hathor. She set her head on his shoulder for a moment before picking her head up and looked at Adalee again.
You are welcome here, but only if you are sure you would happy She said kindly, her tail twitching slightly. Adalee would be there first true member if she joined, for the only pride members at the moment was herself, Hathor, Brooke, and Keira wondered, and then there last daughter Harliegh, was no where to be fund of course. She was a grown lioness now, and she didn't to still take orders from her parents, not that they did it anyway. She sigh as her ears twitched, telling everyone she was slightly uncomfortable with the sudden silence. [/blockquote]

Smiling in a half-hearted sort of way, Hathor kept looking over at the male distractedly as he said,
The breeding season is over now, but until you find whoever you're looking for, you're welcome to stay with us. I'm sure more males will join the pride.
" And there's always Eddie...But he could charm your whiskers off, so I'd be carefull... " Oedipus, the prince of the Aletheans was indeed the charmer these days. Hathor knew it was only because that was the mask he had to put on to gain his own ends though. He was really a sour old thing...Respectful, mild, gentlemanly, handsome and kind but bitter...A little uneasy because of the male, Hathor looked over at him, but not like before. Not like he would have liked to eat him if there weren't ladies present, more like a suspicious acceptance.

Quest stood there nice and still. He kept his eyes out for the king and the Queen. He waited patiently while they let the lioness go inot the pride. Quest knew that he wasnt going to get in easy. His tail swayed back and forth along the ground. It would swat up once in a while getting the flies away. He looked at Hathor. He seemed nice but you never know. He stood waiting. Quest stood nice and upstraight. He was only 1 so he was alot shorter then the King. Quest was even shorter then the Queen. So he tried to make sure that he looked liked it. His mane blew slightly as a little gust of win blew by. His tail swayed with it too. His paws were little and he couldnt do much if someone attacked him. He looked at Hathor and waited for him to say something.

Adalee smiled at the Queen, drawn to her kindness. It was a warm feeling, being welcomed so completely. Even if breeding season was over, she felt this was a pride worth staying in. She would meet males, get to know them, and when breeding season once more came around... well, she would worry about it then. She was young still, so it was probably a good thing she had another year to mature. She gave another fleeting smile to Hathor. "I would be honored to join your pride, Hathor and Angel. You have been so kind to me, even though you know nothing about me. For that I thank you." If her words did not express her gratitude enough, her eyes certainly did. She was tired of traveling, and to have a home... it was a different yet wonderful feeling.
She turned her eyes now to Quest, who sat back, unspeaking, looking a little scared. Her heart went out to him. She knew she was lucky to have been born female, and that she would always be able to find a home somewhere. Males had the short end, always untrusted, even when young. It was a burden, she was sure, but she would never be able to truly understand. She thought about the others of the pride. When would she get to meet them? But she was in no hurry. She was content now.

The urge could not be resisted any longer, and the King felt he must bow to it. A feral glint was in his eyes, and his lips were rolling over his teeth as he imagined the taste of the males flesh in his mouth. But...That would make him look like the bad guy, and he couldn't afford that. Keeping his lips quiet, he twitched his whiskers in annoyance and called to the tiny male. "It is considered very rude where I come from not to introduce ones self to the King." His voice's harsh note was not disguised, and the stubborn line that was so much like his daughter's was in his jaw. The scars that laced his face and chest shon white as his muscles bulged. Looking quickly over to his wife, Hathor stepped sharply in front of the lionesses and faced the male. To be frank, Hathor towered over the little guy. The lion was not exactly small, but Hathor was not exactly large either. He was enourmous. Broad shouldered, staunch and stocky, the stately man was not only a fearsome sight. He was ferocious looking. His unnusual love for blood and slightly vampirical tendencies were gone now, but that did not mean he didn't like to suck the juice out of his prey...Or rip intruders apart. It was his land, and by god he would defend it to the end.
|ooc| : Now you see why Hathor must die xD. My muse for him never really existed anyway.
