Back Home [joining the new pride!]

"Home." The words trickled out of her mouth like savoured water. The lioness stood in the middle of the savannah in the area that was the main camp of the Shujaa pride. Her golden-tan colour blended in with the stalky grass which surrounded her on all sides. The lioness, Abeni, took a few shaky steps towards the rock she always used to sleep on. After nosing it for a second or so the female carried on walking. She'd only been gone for a few months with Addana... so where was everyone? She could not understand it. Had everyone left already? Abeni gave a huge sigh before doing a complicated U-Turn. Her legs were still quick even in her age and condition. Abeni wandered around in every part of the camp she could remember. Coming up with no familier scents, the despairing lioness grew frustrated. Was this some big practical joke?

Abeni let out a grunting noise which it's message was a cross between frusration, helplessness and anger. The golden-tan lioness thrashed her tail on the floor letting up clouds of dust. After fifteen minutes the lioness suddenly seemed to go into a fit. She paced and growled, she whimpered and jumped, she roared and skid. This continued for around ten minutes before she collapsed in a heap on the floor. Never had she felt like this...well not before Kalu anyhow. Abeni eventually crawled onto a huge rock before collapsing once again. Tears rolled down her face, splattering onto the hot rock below her. She didn't care if anyone saw her like this. She didn't care about anything. Abeni let out one last roar which seemed to ask of what had happened before subsiding into tears again. If there was a new pride here now...oh well. While her mind was still set straight Abeni decided that if there was a pride here now she would try and join it.

ooc;; yep, she's in an emotionally fragile state. but she still wants to be in a pride! xD

Head high, the male sat in the shade of a rather large Adansonia digitata, the common African Baobob. The leaves were gone, but the far-extending branches still provided shade. The wide granite boulder that Acarya kept watch from soaked up warmth from the sun, but did not get burning hot. It was perfect.

He was new to this land, but he had still managed to stake his claim. Acarya had wandered for a long, long time, but now he had decided to settle down. This was a good land, even if there was not that much water now, in the-

A call broke into Acarya's thoughts and wrecked his train of thought against the rocks of forgetfulness. He leaped from his stone gracefully and trotted towards the sound.

So, you wish for a pride. What would you have to offer it?

Acarya spoke calmly, keeping his excitement from his voice. The first other member of his pride, and a female, too. It was a surprise, but a wonderful one.
