»What I look like to me.
Gayana, as her sister Tophil, was once brown when she was a cub, she had black spots and was as dark as any cub ever seen, Gayana grew older though and he pelt changed. Now instead of a dark brown coat, Gayana has a dark gold pelt, sure it isn't to much of a change, and yes she's still dark, but she's by no means "brown" any more. Her muzzle however is a much lighter tan-ish color. Still is it dark compared to the lighter lionesses of the clan, but it's still much lighter then her pelt. Gayana has a round face as her daughter Ntombi does, her nose is a dark chocolate color, her whiskers black as midnight. She has short but thick black eyelashes that line her hazel nut brown eyes like eyeliner, as do the skin on her lips. Gayana's teeth are a dull yellow color, by no means is she young any more and her teeth have begun to chip away, as one of her fangs is pointy and sharp and the other is shorter and slightly mangled. Her mouth however, is bright red and shows signs of healthiness and longevity… that's better then the rest of her. Gayana is a small lion with a slim girth and a short stature. She's bigger then some lionesses, but smaller then some too; she's midway. However, her hip bones jut out from her waist and her shoulders from her back, her spin is visible, and if you pay close enough attention you can see her ribs, of Corse the scars don't help. Gayana is a sickly looking elder, who looks like she doesn't eat enough, though this may be true as she waits until every one else is full before helping herself, even those at the lowest rank. The pelt on her flank and sides is ratty and matted looking, scars line it so deep that they seem to leave dents in her skin, as well as her fur. Her fur is very unkempt and her legs are long, even for a short lioness. Gayana is also missing half of her tail, this happened when she was in the fight for her children's lives, now she has half a tail left, it's scarred, but looks perfectly normal besides it's height, even the fur has grown back. Gayana's paws though, have not lost any of their thickness… where'd Ntombi get her giant paws? From her mother! Gayana looks very funny actually when times are harsh, she's so small and skinny, and her paws never change, always as large, and muddy, as her face.

[/u][/color]What the personality is.
Gayana is a very maternal figure. She can be a mother figure and a role-model to every one and every thing. She loves dealing with cubs, even when discipline is needed. She could be known as the enforcer because not only does she look after young cubs, she will discipline him like she was when she was young. She tries her best to bring up the brightest and strongest cubs she can, even if it is the mother's job, the mother isn't always there and lion prides stick together! However, she isn't just the lioness that punishes the little cubs, but also the ones that wakes them up in the middle of the night and tells them scary stories, or stories of her life. By far, she has one of the most interesting lives of any pride born lioness, and she likes to spread her word and the words from her mother who also passed down many stories, some even from her grandmother about humans. Gayana will also be the mischievous lioness, who gets the lion cubs in trouble, but she always seems to go easy on the ones who did things by accident and hard on the ones that did it to prove themselves, she seems to know the difference, and perhaps this may be just because of her brain. Gayana has gone through many experiences as a cub and as an adult lion, but she's always learned from them, not to say that she isn't as smart as any other matriarch but that's her point, their smart, and then some. She is selfless and always helps out, though she's old she is always there to back up the others and help them out. She hates being useless and will even ask if she can go hunt with the others.
Gayana has trouble with her eye-sight, this is not a secret, her eyes are a little glazed over but not to terribly much… she can still see, but it's not a disability just being old, that along with the joint pain she's sure she'll obtain soon but is doing everything to prevent. Gayana likes challenges though, even if she can win them. It's her one real weakness. If one other lion or lioness tells her she can't do something, even if it was outrageous as flying, she would try and prove to them that she could! They say that she cant run as fast as a young male lion, she proves she can, and sometimes she proves herself, other times she embarrasses herself, but it doesn't last long, she shakes off the little things. Also, Gayana has a tiny bitty tendency to snap. If something gets on her nerves long enough, she'll snap at it like a cranky old elderly lioness who wants nothing more to do then laugh at the naïve young-ns and breathe a horribly smelling breath between her yellow teeth. Though, she would never claw your face off, maybe yer' ears though. Instead, she'd be the one to dish out witty and sharp comments that sting from miles away. Gayana likes to be with family, though she hasn't seen her biological family for quite some time, her pride is just like her family. She likes to see cats who hold themselves with pride and dignity instead of looking like an insulting bunch of fur. She understands the insult every once in a while, but those perfectly gloomy cats just get on her nerves! She can't stand those lions! She has always had faith in what she's doing though, even when she's in a crowd (which she hates, company is good but after she's surrounded and trapped, it gets annoying.) she's got the faith to shut up and listen up… ignoring the large mass of cats and focusing on each cat individually. She doesn't like odd numbers of things though. Yeah, OCD, can you imagine that? She doesn't like it when things are unorganized and un-orderly, she can't stand things that are so horribly miss placed.[/ul][/ul][/blockquote]
