She was returning. Returning here to her true home. She had been gone away for quite some time. She had truly missed her home and she had been gone since the rains had come and gone. She didn't mind being gone, as long as it was somewhere with her beloved Because. She had been seperated from him for quite some number of months and the only reason for that was because she and her daughter had been hunting. Some foolish man humans had gotten in their way and seemed to be stalking the same herd that her and her daughter were keeping a watch on.
It all happened rather quickly. Kishkir saw the glint of cool glass and turned to see them take aim right as Hitomi took a rather large gazelle down. She charged at the pale men and took a swipe at one raking her long black claws against the mans arm. She then felt the heat as something peirce her under belly and ripped upwards. She panicked and saw a knife jutting out of her side just under her rib cage. She swiped at the other man and let a fierce growl escape from her teeth. Again she raked her claws at the second man's throat and watched as the crimson blood spilled across the ground.
Finally panting afterwards she layed down on the ground in her own blood. It was too painful to move. Hitomi came over and layed down near her mother. But Kishkir soon told her to leave and tell Because what had happened and that she was probably not going to be returning to the jungle. Hitomi nuzzled her mother for what may have been the last time.
Kishkir closed her eyes as she watched her daughter run off at full speed. She opened her eyes when a bright light was shined in her face. She looked up at the dark humans she was so used to seeing. They spoke rather calmly to her and hoisted her up in the car they were driving and drove her to a compound and kept her their for many many months.
After the rains had passed they released her after she was fully healed.
And now she was back in the saftey of the jungle. Kishkir was amazed at how many time she had escaped death. She had been really lucky and now she was returning home. She in breathed in the fresh and humid green which was all around her and she let a signaling roar sound her return. She had hoped that Because would not be too vexed with her.
